Players Can Now Use Paypal to Play from Nevada, New Jersey to Follow
U.S. poker players in Nevada can now use Paypal to deposit real money onto their accounts at WSOP.com, the online poker room owned by Caesars Interactive Entertainment, the company controlled by the gambling giant and Nasdaq-listed Caesars Entertainment Corporation.
This marks the first time that players in the U.S. can use the popular e-wallet service to play legal online poker games for real money. The support for Paypal should be extended soon to the other online assets part of the Caesars empire, with the e-wallet to become available also on New Jersey's Caesars Casino, Harrah's Casino and WSOP.com New Jersey during the coming weeks.
With more than 169 million active users, Paypal is one the most popular online payment services on the internet as it currently handles more than four million payments every day.
Already in use at many of the online poker and gambling sites available to players in Europe, this is the first time that players within the U.S. can use Paypal to legally play online poker and casino games.
